Slightly curved to accomodate a comfortable finger position, the rounded rectangular wooden handle provides a firm and inviting grip.


Striped like a tiger, its rings of oak, walnut, purple heart and blackwood have been stacked together to create a unique and smooth natural finish.


This knife is the Japanese equivalent of the Western French Chefs knife in the kitchen - in that it is the 'go to' knife for most chopping, slicing and dicing jobs in the kitchen.


It is a genuine little work horse - and its dimpled mill scale finished blade is wide enough for scooping up everything it cuts. There is no need to take the chopping board to the pot when this useful knife is around.
